Location
The Institute will begin this summer with a 3-day session at the Center for Creative Leadership campus in Greensboro,
N.C., and will continue with a two-day session in the fall and another two-day session early in 2014 – both in Frankfort
at the Kentucky Chamber of Commerce.

Cost
If you are selected, Institute tuition, travel, food and hotel costs will be covered by the Kentucky Chamber Foundation
– a $9,000 value.

Attendance
Applicants are required to attend all sessions of the Institute. Participants will be required to pay any fees
associated with late cancellation. Participants not attending sessions for any reason will be required to remit
expenses (mileage, meal stipend) associated with the session missed and will forfeit applicable EILA credits.
Participants are required to notify Leadership Institute staff as soon as a potential conflict is discovered. 	

Time Commitment
Before applying, applicants should consider the additional time and effort this professional development
opportunity requires. This is not a typical “sit and get” program and will require active participation
through assessments, goal-setting and follow-up with a personal leadership coach on multiple occasions.

Selection Process
Principals will be selected through a competitive process. The number of participants will be based on
available funding. Successful applicants will be notified by April 25, 2013.
